Monyhull legend and Assistant Manager Pete Langston reveals exclusively to the Monyhull website that he is not interested in the vacant managers job at struggling Villa.

“we are only part way through the job here” said the defensive lynchpin and Thursdays birthday boy “Gaffer Millist and I have a plan to take the Hull up through the WMCFL over the next few years, and I don’t want to miss out on the excitement. The villa role would be as manager, where I think I’m still good enough to be playing at this level for another couple of seasons, at least until I’ve seen off the young pretender Webber”.

Monyhull fans everywhere, apart from Webber, are believed to be over the moon at the news, while Webber himself is reported to have much in common with vomiting talking cage birds.

Gracious as ever, Langston said “I’m glad big Gaz will be around to provide cover for me next season, as it does take a while for the injuries to clear now. I’m hoping to be around for 5 a side this week but an incident lifting a tube of toothpaste has led to a back problem so I won’t be available for the birthday bumps this year. I don’t think many of the team could lift me all 26 times either anyway. Still, I will be in the bar for all those wanting to buy me a pint afterward.”
