Sources around Villa park have revealed Monyhulls Assistant Manager Pete Langston is in the running to take the vacant managers job at Villa.

In what sees a suprise move, the Villa board are weighing up a move for the experienced centre back and see him as the perfect remedy to an awful season.

"He has shown his pedigree at a managerial level with Monyhull. He did everything that was asked off him at the club, and his results speak for themselves". Indeed, he may be the only thing that is standing in the way of rookie manager Millist being fired after earning the only points Monyhull  got last season.

A representative for Pete Langston stated, "Mr Langston continues to assess his options after being continually frustrated by John Millists approach. He feels not enough water bottles are thrown and continues to think up new and inventive ways to mock the manager using lyrics to The Clash songs".

Millist was defiant on hearing the latest from Villa park, "Yeah well good luck getting the nets up and the kits washed!".

Although both managers were in agreement that the switch would mean Pete Langston would no longer have to deal with players acting like spoilt brats who throw their toys out the pram every five minutes! Unless of course he decides to buy Tevez.
